Terms & Conditions

Trial Lesson

1

All trial lessons require at least 24 hours' notice for any changes or cancellations.

  • Rescheduling: If you need to change your day or time, you may roll over a trial lesson to another slot exactly once. Use the booking link or email lukedydeguitar-cl@outlook.com.

  • Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations or non-attendance with less than 24 hours' notice are strictly non-refundable and cannot be rolled over.

  • Notice of Non-Attendance: Please inform us if you decide not to continue so your slot can be offered to another student.

Post-Trial Lesson

2

Maintaining a consistent schedule ensures steady learning progress. After your trial, the following strict terms apply:

  • The 24-Hour Rule: If you need to reschedule a lesson, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice.

  • Roll-Over Limits: Lesson roll-overs are limited to one per week, per client, per invoice.

  • Non-Attendance: Refunds and roll-overs are strictly unavailable for no-shows or lessons missed without 24 hours' notice. Unused sessions are forfeited.

  • Tutor Cancellations: If your tutor cancels a lesson for any reason, you will receive a free lesson roll-over to a mutually convenient day and time. Cash refunds are not provided; your payment is fully preserved as a lesson credit.

  • Expiration of Roll-Overs: All roll-overs expire immediately after use. Once a rescheduled date and time are agreed upon, that new slot is final. If you miss, skip, or cancel the rescheduled lesson, it cannot be rolled over again, and the session is forfeited.

Retail & Workshop Repairs & Payments

4

Payment is required strictly upfront before any of the following services can begin, parts are ordered, or items are released:

  • Guitar Repairs & Setup

  • Instrument Rental Packages

  • Restringing & Cleaning Services

  • Guitar Purchases

Withholding Payments & Attendance Without Payment

5

Withholding payment, paying only part of the amount, deducting sums from your invoice or attending without payment is not permitted. Payments are to secure your slots for the month for your exclusive time-slot. This is not a pay per lesson. Attending lessons with payments not made will result in the lesson: ending, not starting or revoking lessons completely. Full payment of that lesson will be required.

Invoices are generated and sent to clients on the last week of each month and payment is due 1st of the next month. This is a deadline to reserve your slots for the month. If this is delayed, this will result in lessons being cancelled and passed on to the waiting list or other members wanting that time. This schedule is not flexible. Please do not ask for credit. Please contact me as soon as possible if you are unable to make a payment. Temporary flexible payment arrangements can be made if necessary.

  • This does not apply to trial lessons.

  • Luke Dyde Guitar is not responsible for Spotify sign up costs. Spotify will offer this service free of charge.

Parent Drop Off & Student Behaviour

9

Parents or carers dropping students off should ensure they arrive promptly at the agreed start time and collect their child once the lesson finishes. If a student needs to wait for collection, they must remain in the designated waiting area.

During lessons and while on the premises, students are expected to: show respect to their tutor, other students, all property, arrive ready to learn with their instrument, and maintain appropriate behaviour at all times.

Disruptive conduct that interferes with teaching or any abusive language and threats will be addressed.

Continued issues may result in a review of ongoing lessons.

If you have any concerns or complaints, please raise it directly with your tutor in the first instance, either in person, by email, or over the phone. We aim to acknowledge your feedback within 3 working days and provide a full response or resolution within 10 working days.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may request a review, and we will arrange a further discussion to find a fair solution. All complaints will be handled confidentially and taken seriously.

You may write a complaint via a contact form or email: lukedydeguitar-cl@outlook.com.
